Knitter of the Year: VOTE FOR YOUR WINNER
It’s our annual celebration of everything we love about knitting in the UK and we want to know who you think deserves some recognition.
What is Knitter of the Year?
We launched the Knitter of the Year competition four years ago because we think knitters deserve recognition for the amazing things they do for the craft. We want to celebrate individual knitters who have made a splash in 2019. Whether that’s raising money for charity or inspiring you with beautiful designs, we want to hear about it.
The Grand Prize
12 lucky knitters will get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see behind the scenes of King Cole, one of Britain’s favourite knitting brands. From the warehouse packed to the rafters with yarn where they’ll think they’ve died and gone to heaven, to the showroom where they’ll get an exclusive first look at the new yarn and designs that will be launched in the coming season. The winners will also get the chance to meet the talented team whose hard work and passion bring King Cole yarn and patterns to life. If you know of someone who you think deserves this incredible treat, now is the time to nominate them!
Meet your shortlist
We asked you to nominate the people who have inspired you this year, and we were delighted to get some fantastic nominations! Usually this is a UK-only award, but there were so many fantastic overseas nominations that we couldn’t exclude them. If someone wins who can’t attend the day out at King Cole, we will ask them to invite a friend to go in their place.
