Hand-dyed Beekeepers Challenge

Hand-dyers and knitters are coming together to create a beekeeper’s quilt to raise money for Great Ormond Street and Medecins Sans Frontieres.

Dani Sunshine, the dyer and knitter behind Lioness Arts, has launched a charity project to create a 7ft by 6ft Beekeeper’s Quilt, based on Stephanie Dosen’s popular pattern.

The quilt will be made from around 750 hexipuffs and is being contributed to by lots of knitters and hand-dyers. You can contribute to the project by offering to create hexipuffs of your own, sponsor them in their efforts or enter the raffle to be in with a chance of winning.

Money raised from the project will go to Great Ormond Street and Medecins San Frontieres.

You can keep an eye on the progress and get involved by checking out the Facebook and Ravelry pages.
